Smileloviene's Review I found the second season as enjoyable as the first. The romance is sweet and pure, and some fresh characters bring in a great addition to the series. There are a few more questionable things in the second series, which actually caught me off guard a bit. Nothing severe, just worth noting. Violence: Very little. I recall one direct punch (and the receiver certainly deserved it) but nothing else. Nudity/Sexual Content: This surprised me, but still had nothing much to write home about. There is one woman new in this series that Emma serves as a handmaid to. I believe there is a bout two instances of seeing this woman naked, though mostly covered with a large blanket thrown over her shoulders. It isn't much, but it's worth noting. Also, there is one scene where Emma and William end up alone in a bedroom, but nothing whatsoever happens beyond a hug. They are very proper British people, after all. Problematic Themes: Again, there is no religious issues besides possible mention of eastern religion (if that). There is some drinking of alcohol in this season, but nothing beyond Emma consuming a little under pressure and becoming slightly emotional. One character smokes on occasion, I believe, but beyond that there's nothing. Overall, the second season is a great end to an adorable story. Once again, not for thrill seekers, but if you like romance, there's certainly something to enjoy. The Second season was actually my favorite of the two, because of the new variety of characters and the overall beauty of the series. Should you so desire to watch it, this series is a treat. |
