Vii's Review Violence/Gore - A number of the mysteries involve murder, and when the murder is shown, there is often copious amounts of blood, and an occasional decapitation. There are also gun, blade, and fist fights, also involving blood. A number of deaths happen throughout the show. Nudity/Sexual Content - No fanservice at all, really. However, one character is stated to have been raped and forced to bear a child. Theo. Themes - A number of ghost stories float around, but they are almost always proven to be fictional or have logical explanations. There is one episode with an oracle-type person who can tell the future, and later on there is a mystery about an alchemist. Spoiler: There is also an organization called the Ministry of the Occult. However, they're aren't exactly portrayed as being particularly into the occult, although one scene does involve an occult-ish circle on the floor, with candles and stuff. Other Themes - Victorique puts a pipe in her mouth whenever she's about to figure out a mystery, but she is never seen actually smoking anything. Wine appears in a few episodes, but I don't think anyone ever gets drunk. |
