randomuser2349's Review I enjoyed the series, though it was way too short. I'd recommend that everyone gives it a shot. Violence: There's some blood, and a scene of some strange creature being ripped in half alive (though the blood is discoloured). Killing is also shown, thought nothing is too graphic. Sexual content: There's blurred nudity, but it is shown in a non-sexual way. However, there is a scene where sex is attempted. There is also implied genital mutilation, but none of it is shown. Potentially problematic theological themes: Takizawa is a Jesus-like figure, and is stated to be "a prince in a world without a King". A gospel song is also used at points, and Bible verses are scattered around in the theme song. The original theme song, sung by Oasis, has the line "I tried to talk to God to no avail, calling him in and out of nowhere, said if you won't save me please don't waste my time.", but it does not refer to the Christian God in the context of this anime. Other: There's scenes of strong language in the dub. Dub vs sub: I preferred the dub in this case. |
