Midori's Review The potential problematic themes here need explaining. Kino visits many towns and communities, and in many of them there is something very wrong with the society there. These places tend not to leave one with an overall good impression of humanity. I would say that yes, human cultures are often very screwed up and it is not a lie to bring that to the viewer's attention. However, it can leave the viewer feeling rather depressed about the human condition, because there is often little resembling Christian hope in such communities. Anyway, that is the reason for the high Neg. Themes score; it does not keep the series from being very profound and a good thing to watch. |
