ForeverInspired's Review
Violence / Gore: Lots and lots of blood and violence make this series only for mature audiences and those that can handle even the torturing of children. Also, in the second season, we have children killing their own parents, who are wrecking havoc on society. The main character is willing to kill loved ones for the goal that he desires.

Nudity / Sexual Content: It is said that a child's purity is taken away from her. Though the action is not seen, it's result is quite appalling, and it is brought up in this second season as well.

Potentially problematic theological themes: Magic is the center of this series, and the center of the Holy Grail War is a church.

Other potentially problematic themes: There's smoking, drinking, and swearing. With all of the violence and mature themes, this ends up being a darker show.

FINAL VERDICT: While this is by far one of the best series out there, only mature audiences will be able to appreciate it without being lost in the darker side of the plot. Once again: the plot is amazing, the characters are some of the best around, the music is spellbinding, and the animation is drop-dead gorgeous. It's a masterpiece. However, not only is this a masterpiece, but it's one of the best of its kind with a message that we learn in this second season - and a good message at that.
