Not so much a review as a few quick points.

1.) Potentially problematic theological themes:
This is something that could be debated, one of the things this show is known for is never giving a clear explanation of any of the underlying mechanics of its world. While much of the plot revolves around characters running around with superpowers, some of a more 'magical' sort than others, the impression I came away with is that this is more a "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic" situation than anything.

2.)The two seasons are significantly different shows. The first is a mostly episodic series of underworld skirmishes leading up to a big finale; the second is a single story in which not only does most of the cast act differently (if they even appear), but are displaced form the lead role.
