Description: Tsukamoto Tenma is an ordinary 2nd year high school student who has fallen in love with one of her classmates, Karasuma Ooji. However, currently she is unable to confess her feelings to him. To make things worse, she found out that Karasuma is transferring to another school in a year. On the other hand, Tenma's other classmate, Harima Kenji (who is a delinquent) is also in love with Tenma. Not being able to confess his feelings, Harima gets depressed day by day. If you want an anime that has an overarching plot of epic proportions, then do not continue reading this review. If you want a completely random anime filled to the brim with hilarious situations, then School Rumble is for you! There is little to no character development, meaning that you can like one character and not worry about if that character will change. Also, the series is episodic, so if a friend drops by you can show them what episode you are on and they will be able to pick up what's going on. There are many references to other anime like...Spoiler: One of the characters suddenly changes his hair to gold, spoofing Dragon Ball Z.

Violence is not really a factor in this anime. Some of the characters fight, but in a crazy, comedic fashion. I don't recall any blood shed. Spoiler: One character is hit by a bus, but he emerges relatively unharmed.

SC/N: There is a little fanservice in this anime.

spoilerMany of the male background characters are perverts, although this is used in a comedic fashion.One of the male characters has a massive collection of perverted "Research", but this is neither important nor relevant. Some jokes are made referencing a female character's chest. There is a picture of a nude girl, but it is censored and very brief. One male character is exercising in the buff when a female character stumbles upon him. This event is referenced a few times. One of the female characters discusses "positions" with another character, but the other believes them to be wrestling moves.



Theological themes: One character acts as an animal fortune teller. Another character is part of a Catholic church and dresses as a nun, but this is not empathized.

Others: There is some language used throughout the anime. One character is offered a beer, but declines.
