In the future, the earth has been devastated by war and pollution, leading countries to move to colonies around Earth. Every four years, however, each colony sends a fighter in a mecha to represent their country in a global tournament, known as the Gundam Fight. The whole earth is the battlefield for the tournament, and the winner's country earns the rights to control the world until the next Gundam Fight. This time around, however, things are different. The fighter from Neo-Japan, a brash young lad named Domon Kasshu, has another motive. Not only does he want to win the prize for his country, but he also hopes to find his brother, who has been corrupted by the Dark Gundam, an aberrant machine of untold power.
