Brief Description: http://myanimelist.net/anime/3835/Ai_no_Gakko_Cuore_Monogatari Heart (1981) is an old anime based on an old book by Italian Edmondo de Amicis. It tells the story of Enrico, an upper-class boy studying for a year (third grade for him) in a rural school, full of working-class kids and all the lessons he learns there from them and their stern but wise teachers who teach them values by means of historic tales of compassion and valor. The series has a few very dramatic moments but no bad content at all and is recommended for older kids and above. |
