An adaptation of an old Swiss story, Heidi is the heartwarming tale of a small city girl, who after becoming an orphan, is sent to live with her grandfather -an old, bitter man living in a cottage in the Alps and who's not pleased at all by this arrangement. Heidi's life since then, becomes one of challenges and wonder. Challenges at trying to cope with the death of her parents, the change of scenery and routine and dealing with a cranky grandpa, and wonder at the beauty of the alps and interacting with the farm and mountain animals. Needless to say, her cheerful and dreamy demeanor in spite of her difficulties is able to slowly turn the heart of the embittered old man and everyone else who get to know her. This anime is appropriate and recommended for all ages. |
