Brief Description:
Being just a normal student without a special talent Makoto Naegi wins a lottery to attend the prestigious Hope's Peak Academy where only the top prodigies attend. However instead of this being the beginning of a wonderful high school life, it's a ticket to despair because the only way to graduate from Hope's Peak Academy is to kill one of your fellow students or be one of their victims.

Violence / Gore: On par for a survival/murder show, people get killed off in a myriad of creative ways so there's a lot of violence and blood. The blood is coloured bright pink though, which sort of offers some degree of censorship.

Nudity / Sexual Content: One of the girls' top is quite low cut, one of the guys is seen in the shower briefly and there's one case of cross-dressing.

Negative Themes: There's some swearing and it can be rather depressing at times and has a prominent theme of hope vs. despair.
